ThreatStream Recognized as Company of the Year in 2015 Best in Biz Awards

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – January 12, 2015 – ThreatStream, the pioneer of an enterprise-class threat intelligence platform, has been named a bronze winner in the Company of the Year – Small category by Best in Biz Awards, the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.

ThreatStream aims to level the playing field against cybercriminals by leveraging data science to map out the relationship between adversaries and targets in real-time, enabling organizations to operationalize threat intelligence. ThreatStream has become a Silicon Valley notable, with marquee investors and a board full of Silicon Valley and security industry luminaries. The company is led by the co-founder of ArcSight, one of the most successful cybersecurity companies to come out of the Valley in the last 20 years.

“The recognition by Best in Biz honors ThreatStream’s immense effort over the past year to provide organizations with our best-of-breed threat intelligence platform, giving security teams and analysts the tools they need to keep their companies safe against new-age threats,” said Hugh Njemanze, CEO of ThreatStream. “The increasing number of data breaches only compounds the need for new ways of ingesting valuable threat information that could prevent a crippling attack. By sharing critical information, our technology allows organizations to gain ground against adversaries and adapt to the ever-changing threat landscape.”

The fifth annual Best in Biz program in North America boasted the highest number of submissions to date. More than 600 entries were received this year from a wide array of public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries and geographic regions in the U.S. and Canada.

“Entrants in the ‘Company of the Year’ category demonstrate that even large businesses with more than 100 employees are nimble and innovative,” said Laurie Sullivan, MediaPost, who has returned to the Best in Biz Awards judging panel. “It was difficult to separate the best of the very impressive companies in a group that clearly understands the forward-thinking strategies and tactics required to support customers.”

Best in Biz Awards 2015 honors were presented in 60 categories, including Company of the Year, Fastest-Growing Company of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, Best Place to Work, Technology Department of the Year, Executive of the Year, Most Innovative Product of the Year, Best New Product of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year and Website of the Year.

Winners of Best in Biz Awards 2015 were determined based on scoring from an independent panel of 46 judges from highly recognized newspapers, business, consumer and technology publications, radio outlets, and analyst firms. In addition to the numerous judges returning from previous panels from years 2011 – 2014, this year’s judging panel included several worthy additions to the high-profile group.
