ThreatStream™ Appoints Rick Wescott as Vice President Worldwide Sales. Adds Federal Sales Director

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ThreatStream™, the provider of a threat intelligence platform that identifies cyber threats and facilitates trusted threat sharing, today announced the appointments of Rick Wescott as vice president of worldwide sales, and W. Todd Helfrich as director of federal sales.

Wescott brings over 20 years of experience in delivering over-quota sales performance for security organizations and is tasked with driving the global sales organization to meet its short and long-term objectives. Additionally, he will be responsible for sales enablement, sales forecasting and strengthening the sales purchasing process.

Most recently, Wescott served as vice president and general manager of public sector sales for ArcSight, which was acquired by HP for $1.5 billion in late 2010. Wescott joined ArcSight in 2002, and built the highest-revenue and most-profitable business unit within the company until its acquisition. Prior to joining ArcSight, Wescott held sales management roles at VeriSign, Entrust and Sybase, consistently over-delivering revenue results in each role.

At ThreatStream, Helfrich will be responsible for building the federal business. With more than 12 years of sales security experience in the government space and technical expertise in the field, Helfrich will be responsible for identifying and closing new federal opportunities. Helfrich has held positions with SRA International, IBM, ArcSight and most recently HP where he was managing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) account on the enterprise security side of the business.
