ThreatStream Announces FED Exchange for Federal, State & Local Government

Redwood City, Calif. – December 16, 2015 – ThreatStream®, the pioneer of an enterprise-class threat intelligence platform, today announced the availability of the ThreatStream FED Exchange. The ThreatStream FED Exchange further enables civilian, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and state and local government customers to research, operationalize and collaborate on cyber adversaries and indicators of compromise (IOC). This provides federal clients context around indicators acquired while providing relevance to their organization.

ThreatStream is enabling all federal, state and local government analysts access to the platform. This capability allows analysts the ability to exchange intelligence through the ThreatStream Optic™ platform. With the 2,000 customer organizations represented in the platform today, the ThreatStream FED Exchange will further enable cross-industry sharing of threat indicators between public and private sector organizations. Today industry segments like oil & gas, retail, e-Commerce, financial, aerospace and the defense Industry are sharing threat intelligence to help fend off the adversaries.

“There's an overwhelming amount of threat intelligence available on the market today. It’s important for organizations to understand the impact levels associated with indicators of compromise (IOCs) while working to defend information their industry partners share,” said Colby DeRodeff, Chief Strategy Officer at ThreatStream. “The ThreatStream Optic Platform aggregates multi-sourced threat intelligence from public sector, commercial APP Store vendors and shared customer submissions.”

ThreatStream federal clients are provided multiple form factors enabling the flexibility to deploy the ThreatStream Optic platform within multiple security enclaves while protecting the research and distribution of private threat intelligence. The federal market is embracing Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) capabilities and with near-term CISA legislation, both public and private sectors will be enabled.

With the shortage of cyber security personnel today, and the adoption of threat intelligence sharing policies and practices, ThreatStream is allowing for the configurable orchestration of IOCs within an enterprise security architecture, enabling organizations to defend against known indicators and actor behaviors.
